It’s for a police station christmas party (yes my dad’s a cop) and it’s mostly for little kids. but i promised to bring something but don’t know anything. all recipes are excepted =)

    Buy a dozen cupcakes and shove a candy cane in each one
    your will be the first to go….and that is flattering :)
    btw…my husband is a cop,too :)

    Some ideas?

    Popcorn Candy

    Ingredients
    500g sugar
    5 tablespoons water
    5 tablespoons molasses
    2 tablespoons butter
    1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
    250g popcorn
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Action
    a. Boil the sugar, water, cream of tartar,
    and molasses until the syrup forms a hard ball,
    when tried in the cold water.

    b. Let the bubbling cease, then add the butter,
    and vanilla.

    c. When dissolved, add the popcorn.

    d. Stir gently until the corn is coated all over.

    e. Pour out on buttered tins, and when cool enough,
    to handle, roll into balls.

    f. Wrap in waxed paper when cold.

    Chocolate Almonds

    Ingredients
    Almonds
    Coating chocolate

    Action
    a. Wash and dry the almonds under the sun,
    or in the preheated 200°C (392°F) oven,
    for about 10 minutes till they are totally dried,
    and slightly browned.

    b. When the almonds are cold, dip them into glace,
    then into the melted chocolate and drop them,
    on to a tin to harden.

    Chocolate Gingerbread

    Ingredients
    100g molasses
    1 tablespoon butter (melted)
    1 tablespoon cooking oil
    100g brown sugar
    1/4 teaspoon ginger
    1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 teaspoon soda
    (mix with 200 ml sour milk)
    Flour
    1 tablespoon sweet chocolate (melted)

    Action
    a. Blend all the ingredients together thoroughly.
    b. Stir in soda mixture and flour to stiffen.
    c. Bake in a preheated 180°C or 356°F oven,
    for 20 minutes.

    French Fried Sweet Potatoes

    Ingredients
    1 large potato
    salt

    Action
    a. Wash and peel the sweet potato.
    b. Cut length-wise as you desired.
    c. Fry in deep hot oil, and sprinkle lightly with salt.
