Question by TerriersRock: AAAAh Sodium. What is a pregnant woman to do in a world full of sodium?
Okay so now that I am pregnant I’m trying to eat better. And my mom said I need to avoid sodium its not good for the baby.
So I got some meals. Like Chicken and beef pot pies (because they have meat and veggies in them)
Then I looked at the sodium level. 1010 mg.
It looks like its almost safer to eat a bowl of spagettios at 660 mgs of sodium
I’m trying to eat better but everything is chalk full of sodium. Everything that is supposed to be better for you.
What is a pregnant woman to do in a world full of sodium.
(By the way I don’t know how to cook, so this is all new to me. I used to eat out all the time but now we are looking at eating in and ofcourse we are going to have to learn how to cook but my gosh)
ADD: How much sodium is too much.
I even looked at my juices and they have sodium.
ADD: I forgot to mention my moms a nurse by the way (but she hasn’t been very helpful)

I never heard that sodium is bad for the baby… it better not be because I crave salty foods! I do know that too much sodium can cause you to retain water though.
