Question by pennybarr: Has anyone else noticed that most commercial whole grain Pastas weigh in at 13.25 oz. and not 16 oz. (1 lb).?
I feel really bad because all of the pasta recipes I posted say use 1 lb. of pasta. I mostly use Barilla and all the whole grain pasta boxes I have weigh 13.25 oz. The regular pasta weighs 1 lb. Has anyone found this to be true in other brands?

Here in Canada pasta is sold in 500 gram (about 1.12 lbs) packages.
