Q&A: How to make sorbet without an ice cream maker?

I was thinking of making a sorbet since it looks good and it’s around the 80,sometimes 90 degree mark where I live since summer is almost here.But I have no ice cream maker.Any ways to make the sorbet without it? Also,any good easy and quick recipes for a sorbet that is either orange,lemon,or strawberry flavored??

Granitas are pretty similar, and you can make them without an ice cream machine. Basically, combine 1 part fruit juice with 1 part water, pour it into a shallow dish, put it into the freezer, and scrape up the ice with a fork every hour until it freezes.
