Question by RAVEN: Meringue? is it possible?
Is it possible to have a layer of meringue at the bottom of a cake? or at the top of the cake? or both?
And if it is possible, would the raw cake mixture be poured on top of the raw meringue mixture before you cook it? or will the meringue have to be precooked and then have the raw cake mixture poured on top and be baked? but then wouldn’t this burn the meringue?
If it is possible to have meringue as a base for a cake, could somebody give me a recipe that includes that?

It’s possible to have meringue as a cake base, but it’s not as common.
You can have the meringue on top of the cake, or in between layers.
If meringue is used as a based, it tends to be used for desserts (http://international.stockfood.com/image-picture-Meringue-with-peaches%2C-cranberries-and-pistachios-00261082.html).
Meringue is also used as a topping for desserts.
