Question by Taylor: Gluten free birthday cake recipes?
My moms birthday is less than two weeks away. My mom has Celiac disease so I have to bake her a cake that has no gluten in it. She has made the gluten free cake mix that they sell in the box , but it didn’t taste that great. Does anybody know any yummy gluten free cake recipes that I can surprise her with? Or even any good tasting gluten free desserts? Thank you!

why ‘CAKE’ ?? why not something like flan or some other baked custard with whipped cream for decorations?

My son always has wanted cheesecake for his birthday! he could care much less about the crusts normally used on pies and cheesecake! so I just made the cheesecake filling in a baking dish without the crust. Made him so happy. Was hard when he was little to figure out how to stand candles on cheese cake!! I wrote happy birthday using whipped cream. We finally made puffs of whipped cream beside the cheesecake on the plate and put the candles in them!! NOT ON THE Cake!

My nephew was allergic to wheat, eggs and milk all his life! So we made him JELLO cakes!! They can be most interesting and writing on them with the jel icings worked!! One of the most memorable was the Broken Glass Cake! make and set 3 bright colors of jello and cut it in odd shapes like glass breaking. Then put these in cooled Lemon Jello and allow the whole thing to set. We decorated it with nuts!
