Question by ferrari freak: Im gaining weight in spite of exercise and diet!!! please help!!?
i may be sounding a little too paranoid…but I gained 1.2 killos after about a week of exercise and diet. I started exercising again after a gap of 2 months..so is it because of gain in muscle mass or am i doing something wrong?
I am staying off the unhealthy stuff..though I crave for it a lot..and I also added in a grain-free day and am having 5-6 small meals a day… but after starting this new diet plan…im feeling very gassy and bloated…my hair too seems to have suddenly become very dry.
Should I change something??
Also..can i know some effective exercises for my ab area…cause I seem to have most of my fat collected there and also some tips for fast but safe weight and fat loss…i have a knee problem..so i cannot do high-impact cardio.
Thank you so much for your help

You’re most likely gaining muscle mass. Beginners experience the greatest changes in muscle mass when working out. You’re burning fat while you work out, but know that muscle weighs a heck of a lot more than fat. I’d say you’re good.
I think it’d be a better idea to stick with the three square meals a day, maybe a healthy snack thrown in. The bloatedness may be caused from you consuming too much milk and/or beans. Lay off of them for a bit and see if there’s a change.
I’d suggest using an ab curl machine. This will work out your abs beautifully while not irritating your knee. You can also try doing sit-ups while someone or something holds your legs flat out in front of you. Doing sit-ups normally or doing planks may hurt your knee, though I really do suggest trying planks (http://exercise.about.com/od/abs/ss/abexercises_10.htm). If it doesn’t work for you, go back to my first suggestions.
The first thing that comes to mind is saunas. The safety of using them is disputed but you’ll lose weight… without doing any cardio…
Anyways, hope this helps! 😀
