Q&A: Food Processor recommendations?

Hi
I am not a new cook, but I am new to nifty kitchen appliances.
Is it true that food processors can slice/dice my veggies for me?
Can a food processor coursely grind, say, cauliflower? Can it grind to a paste consistency?
Do you *highly* recommend a quality processor?
I’ve tried researching this several times between Google and Amazon reviews, but have gotten nowhere.

I personally like the Cuisinart, always very reliable. Yes, it grinds veggies to larger to smaller pieces to paste depending how long it is on. It grinds nuts, too.
