Question by Hampton Hall: Easy recipes for kids — making dog treats?
I’m looking for a fun way to teach kids to cook. We have a dog, and neighbors with dogs, so it would be really fun for them to make easy homemade dog treats that they could give as gifts! I’ve been looking for something like this, but without success. Either the recipes look too hard, or you have to go buy some unusual ingredients. Anyone know where I can find easy recipes for kids to make dog treats?

This link shows a couple uncommon things, but as they are meat, I would just substitute with what you have on hand. A dog will not know the difference or care if it is ground beef or chicken.

After searching myself for this, I can see what you mean about the large number of ingredients. For children, you need simple!

Have fun. This sounds like a great project.
