Question by : Have Indoor Grill, looking for cookbook for singles?
Have a George Foreman grill with temp setting and timer. I am single and would love to learn more of what I can cook and how. I’m looking for beginning level – How long do I cook pork? Chicken?
I’m really trying to learn the basics. I’m also interested in expanding my skills with using the microwave as a cooking machine. 🙂

I am not familiar with the “temp setting. My grill is another brand. I’m guessing its low, med, and high . Chicken and pork both need to be cooked completely -140 F internal temp. Depending on the thickness chicken and pork will take an average of 8 mins. because its cooking on both sides. I would set the the temp at med. If you want a crusty outside start on high to sear for 2mins and turn down. This method will keep the juices inside. Beef is a personal choice as far as internal temp. Get yourself a cheap instant read thermometer – they have em in grocery stores now- and check the internal temp by inserting the thermometer to the center of the thickest part. – you’ll get the hang of your grill’s timer and temps quickly and probably won’t rely on the thermometer as much. When my expensive stove was not working, I cooked exceptional meals with only my little grill and a microwave. Have fun and happy grilling!!!.
