You would be safe making couscous. There are lots of varieties of it, so make a savory recipe, preferably using lamb. Go to www.cooks.com or any recipe website, or just google couscous. In fact, google Qatar. Most Middle Eastern and Persian Gulf countries cuisine is quite similar. They also eat lots of dates, and sweets made with dates.
